  1. Thank you Dmitri for a very insightful and thought-provoking talk.

    The problem is that sometimes taking a half step is the best path toward getting to your ultimate goal; while other times it is a dead end. As many personal stories could be told one way as the other. The challenge is – in the heat of the moment – to determine whether the immediate opportunity is a good half step, or a dead end.

  2. Said another way… There are rivers that are best crossed by hopping from stone to stone; and there are chasms which must be leaped in a single bound, or not at all.
